Wine Aroma Wheel
In the 1980’s professors at U.C. Davis developed what is now known as the wine aroma wheel – a reference for aroma traits commonly found in wines.
Those terms closer to the center are more general; those towards the outside are more specific. Review and use of this aroma wheel helps evolving wine tasters increase their descriptive abilities.
